PAT TESTING

PAT TESTING - LET US KEEP YOU SAFE AND COMPLIANT

Let our trained and accredited PAT Testers keep your electrical appliances safe and maintained.

All you will need to know is roughly how many items require PAT testing and we will do the rest.

What is PAT Testing?

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by completing a visual inspection but some types of defects can only be found by testing.

Why do I need to PAT Test?

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that any electrical equipment that has the potential to cause injury is maintained and in a safe condition. However, the regulations to not specify what needs to be done, by whom or how frequently. The frequency of inspection and testing depends on the type of equipment and the environment it is used in. For example, a power tool used on a construction site should be examined more frequently than a lamp in a hotel bedroom.
